The directory of independent public interest digital-only media from Pakistan is managed by the Institute for Research, Advocacy & Development (IRADA) in collaboration with Freedom Network. The initiative was made possible with assistance from IMS (International Media Support). The website is inspired by the impressive work on similar lines by Project Oasis.

The data for the directory was collected with the consent of the featured media during the applications process for the Media Innovation Small Grants 2024 by the Yaqeen Media Viability Fund. In some cases, the data was sourced from publicly available information about the media organisations.
